UCP of Eastern CT’s Disability Support Program offers outreach services to any resident of Eastern Connecticut with a long-term disability. Available services include: case management, advocacy, information and research, referrals, financial assistance, support group activities, and an adaptive toy library.
While there are some human service agencies that provide services to individuals with disabilities, these agencies tend to focus on one type of need or barrier. The Disability Support Program provides a holistic view and seeks to provide a person with the tools and information to remove any and all barriers that they are facing.
The Disability Support Program also does not require a person to meet a list of criteria and is offered free of charge. While we require a demonstrated financial need for financial assistance, we will provide other assistance regardless of insurance, socioeconomic status, or type of disability. We only require residency in Eastern Connecticut and the diagnosis of a long-term disability.
