UCP of Eastern CT’s Day Programs in Old Saybrook and Quaker Hill offer spacious, bright, cheerful environments for adults 21 and older with disabilities.
Daily opportunities are provided to enhance skills and develop competencies. Choice is emphasized in all activities and self-advocacy is encouraged. Our program sites are fully accessible and access to wheelchair accessible vans. Nursing services are available to clients, and UCP Direct Support Specialists maintain current medication administration certification and CPR training.
We provide services to a variety of people with varying ages and abilities; people can make friends with others their own age and across generations. Join us for our celebrations and make friends while learning about Egypt and the great Pyramids, what life is like in Australia, or have fun at our Disco Party! You can also relax and listen to music, or work on your Physical Therapy skills in our Sensory Room.
UCP participants are active volunteers in the local community as pen pals with soldiers serving overseas, they make baby hats for newborns at L&M Hospital and partner with local grocery stores to help collect food for Connecticut’s food banks.
Make friends in the community when you go out shopping, visit a park or go for coffee on community outings. Listen to Dick play his accordion, or Steve ‘jam’ on his guitar and play your requests!
