At the UCP annual meeting on October 28, 2011, UCP employees had the honor of recognizing Pat Mansfield for her remarkable work during her 10 years here, as HR Director and Co-Executive Director, before her retirement on November 4, 2011. While Pat will be greatly missed, the work goes on. With Pat’s leaving, there created an opportunity for UCP to recognize some valued employees while also creating some necessary changes within the organization.
UCP is pleased to announce the promotion of Denise Henry to Associate Executive Director of Operations. Denise started with UCP as Director of Residential Services in 2006. Over the last 5 years she has implemented many quality control measures that have led to the consistent delivery of excellent services to the clients in the program. Among them, Denise developed a comprehensive training program for her management team; developed UCP’s first Client handbook; and implemented Therap in her program. Denise has also taken on increasingly more responsibility including PRC, DDS Leadership meetings, DDS advisory committee, as well as revenue-generating activities such as expanding the expanding the Fee-For-Service billing and providing Behavior Consultation services to other providers.
In addition to the Residential program, Denise will now oversee the UCP Day Programs in Quaker Hill and Old Saybrook. Christine Olbrys, will remain Director of the Day Programs and also will be working collaboratively with Denise in the Residential Program.
Steve Smigiel has been an important part of UCP of over 20 years. As the Financial Manager, Steve has provided the Executive Directors and Board members the accurate financial information required for them to make sound business decisions. In additional to payroll and financial reporting, Steve will now be responsible for leading the UCP Board in the Finance Committee.
At this time, UCP would also like to announce the promotion of Jennifer Keatley to Associate Executive Director of Administration. Jennifer started with UCP as the Human Resource Manager in 2006. Over the last 5 years, Jennifer’s HR responsibilities have expanded to include Risk Management, Fundraising and various committee work. In her new role, Jennifer will be overseeing UCP’s administrative functions as well as Staff Development.
